We are so glad you are here! Thank you for caring for children. Together we can help make orphaned children’s lives better.

For 20 plus years Grace and Hope has been working to make the lives of orphans better. When our program ended in China, we waited to see where the Lord would lead us to help orphans in their time of need. 

Three years ago when the war in Ukraine broke out, thousands of children in orphanages were displaced and sent to live in Poland. Several members of our board traveled to Poland where we had the opportunity to meet many Ukrainian orphans. As we began to feel God leading us to help, He opened the door for us to begin working in Poland to enrich the lives of the Ukrainian orphans there. We found a wonderful couple that have a loving heart for children and they speak Polish, Ukrainian/Russian and English. 

These children have remained under the legal protection of Ukrainian institutions making it impossible for them to be placed into foster care. Yet their needs for personalized care remains as urgent as ever.

Thanks to your continued support and the leadership of our full time employee, we have been able to meet these needs in powerful ways.

Volunteers have been recruited and equipped to offer mentorship, encouragement and vocational training especially for the older teens nearing adulthood. Two large Christmas celebrations have been organized yearly where each child receives a personalized gift to remind them that they are seen and loved. Our emplyee has also earned the trust of legal guardians, attending healthcare appoinments with the children to advocate for their needs and translate medical information between Polish doctors and Ukrainian caretakers. Though these children remain under state guardianship, we are privileged to walk alonside them-offering stability, hope and the personal attention every child deserves.  

In the summer of 2024, one of our board members traveled to Kenya. He brought back news of an opportunity to help with the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya's  Siaya County, a region deeply impacted by HIV/AIDS and poverty. We are now partnering with Nehemiah's Restoration (NR), a trusted local organization working to break the cyle of generational poverty. 

Nehemiah's Restoration continues the work of the former USAID Orphans and Vulnerable Children program by placing children in extended-family "foster-care" homes, providing food, healthcare, shelter, legal aid, education and vocational training.  Additionally they offer emotional and psychosocial support to help children heal and hope. 

The mission of NR echoes our own: giving orphaned and vulnerable children the opportunity to not just survive but to thrive and lead transformed lives.
